OVERVIEW
VANUATU CITIZENSHIP PROGRAMS
In January 2017, the Government of the Republic of Vanuatu launched their Development Support Program (DSP). The purpose of the DSP is raising funds to support infrastructure and promoting the economic development of the Republic of Vanuatu.
Candidates may apply for Vanuatu Citizenship by contribution from US$130,000 (single applicant) to the Government of Vanuatu. The citizenship acquired under the DSP program is fully recognized by the Government of Vanuatu.
"All Vanuatu Citizens that have achieved Citizenship under any of the existing or former versions of the Citizenship Program are equal in the eyes of the Vanuatu Government".
“Citizens are to be assured of their rights and privileges as ni-Vanuatu, enshrined under the existing Citizenship Act (Cap 112)”.
The above statement was made in September 2020 by the Citizenship Chairman, Ronald Warsal. Those applying for and receiving Vanuatu Citizenship under the DSP have the full right to reside in Vanuatu. The Vanuatu Biometric passport is valid for 10 years and is renewable upon expiry.
Vanuatu Citizenship is for life and is hereditary.
